"network building and knowledge sharing - the School as Learning Community" title of a very successful event on ALP Dillingen . What sounds like a small who's who of the German e-learning community read, was a conference with about 110 representatives from schools and science. Thematically event already with videos and films is prepared by the conference blog. Here, therefore only a subjective impression.
First there was the keynote speech by Peter Baumgartner , who spoke on partnership models for teaching and school development, and social software. He pointed to global trends and their impact on learning . The lecture ended with concrete ideas on the use of Web 2.0 in Education Development, or with four theses on social software.
The second keynote lecture of Beat Döbeli-Honegger "ubiquitous learning" or mobile learning was no less interesting. The comparison between Mobile learning and mobile was not only amusing but also quite consistent. Later he sketched parallels of statements about learning in the 70's and e-learning and myths shattered in 2008.
The two presentations are available together with the presentations by Gabi clean man, John Cooper and Herbert Jancke already as a video recording. I can recommend good and happy. The professional recordings can serve as well as to support a smaller training activity. This is still not very common, but why should not these benefits of e-learning can also be used.
said the workshops, "Mr Thomas Rau " about blogging from the perspective of teachers. The man blogging already for some time to himself, and almost every day. That it shows. For him, blogging is not an exotic fantasy, but rather an opening to the outside of the classroom. Didactics and technology were not in his workshop in the foreground, but the dangers and joys of blogging and the network aspect among teachers and students.
was in the spontaneous Wiki Workshop by Mr Döbeli then the theories trump. The good practice examples that were presented in this workshop, Wikis make you want to try out enhanced. A re-discovery was the FOR Wiki, which I had already discovered several years ago and then lost sight of. But there are quite a lot of teaching materials.
Overall a really great event with very positive mood of all participants and lively discussion. Häuptle thanks to Eva, Gabi Reinmann and John Cooper with your team for the wonderful organization.
